Friday, June 5, 2009 (El Paso, TX)-Currently in first place of the Mid South Division and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup division representative the El Paso Patriots will face off division rival the Laredo Heat tonight at Texas A & M Int’l Soccer complex in Laredo, TX at 8:15p.m.(CT).
After six games played the El Paso Patriots currently sit in first place with 12 points (4-2-0), while the Laredo Heat are just one point behind in second place with 11 points and a 3-1-2 record. A victory by either team will give them a clean sweep of first place in the Mid South Division.
If Laredo heat was not their toughest rival so far this season, the Patriots will pack their bags and head towards Hidalgo after tonight's game to face the Rio Grande Valley Bravos on Saturday, June 6 at Valley View Stadium at 7:30p.m.(CT). The Bravos are sitting in third place with 9 points and 2-1-3 record.
The Patriots could take the lead of the Mid South Division if they are victorious against their 2 toughest opponents the Laredo Heat and the Rio Grande Valley Bravos after this weekend.
